Six Electric Car Charging Places to be put into operation in Banja Luka

A total of six parking places with chargers for electric cars will be put into operation on Monday at two locations, i.e. three places at the terminal of suburban passenger transportation in Malta and at the parking lot Paskulina ciglana.

This will be medium-sized chargers of 22 kW, which means that about two hours will be needed for the battery to fully charge.

“The city has been planning to provide this opportunity for quite some time now, and electric car drivers were avoiding this entire route because there are no chargers from Zagreb to Sarajevo,” stated Slavisa Sandic, the Head of the Department for Traffic and Road.

He also added that this is a novelty for our market, but that we can expect an increase in the number of electric cars.

The touristic organization of the city is positively looking on these chargers because tourists have complained for not having the opportunity to charge the batteries on their electric cars.

“Banja Luka should follow current trends and provide a place where all tourists, as well as citizens, who have the ability and desire for an electric vehicle, will be able to charge their cars,” said Mladen Sukalo, an independent expert associate in the Tourist Organization of Banja Luka (TOBL).
