Sixth International Scientific Conference “Modern Materials” Held in Banja Luka

green-technologyThe Academy of Arts and Sciences of the RS organized the traditional, sixth international scientific conference called “Modern Materials” that was held from 4-6 July in Banja Luka.

The goal of the conference was to have a comprehensive and multidisciplinary overview of the current events in the field of advanced materials and their application in science, technology and industry. As part of the plenary and poster sessions, eminent scientists and experts from the country and abroad participated.

From this year, the work at the conference takes place as part of three symposiums (A: science of matter, condensed matter and solid state physics; B: Biomaterials and Nanomedicine; C: Water, with introductory lectures and poster presentations). At the conference, 149 scientific works from the country and abroad will be presented.

At the conference two works of employees of the Institute were presented: “Phytoremediation: green technology for the treatment of polluted sites with heavy metals in aquatic ecosystems’’ and Global trends in eco-technology composting of organic fraction of solid waste’’.
