Kupacice1The Bosnian painter Sonya Radan who has been working and living in London for many years now, presented her new works entitled “Bathers”.

As the artist herself said, the inspiration came to her at the swimming pool, where she often goes for recreation and meets many women of her own age who try to stay in a good shape by swimming.

“Although I don’t paint their faces but rather their figures, I portrait myself in fact through them as well as other women like us and of our age who try to preserve their youth and freshness by plunging into that clear blue water which makes us feel free and light.” – described the artist her motifs.

Sonya Radan was born in Sarajevo in 1960. where she also graduated at the Academy of fine arts in 1984. She exhibited her works all around Europe and Great Britain where she has been living and painting for the last twenty years.
