The head of the Delegation of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Luigi Soreca, congratulated the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) on the launch of the TIPS Clone instant payment system.
“The EU is proud to support this milestone through a project worth two million euros,” announced Soreca on X.
According to him, this step helps pave the way for the future integration of BiH into the EU’s single digital market, including instant credit transfers within the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA).
As more progress is made, citizens and businesses will benefit from even faster, safer and more efficient transactions. That is why it is so important to finalize the SEPA application of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“i call on the authorities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to quickly adopt the necessary legislation, now that the National Assembly of the RS has completed the relevant steps,” said Soreca.
