Sorensen and Hill Spoke With B&H Ministers

peterHead of the EU Delegation Peter Sorensen and the Charge D’Affaires of the US Embassy Nicholas Hill spoke with the ministers of foreign affairs of the RS Radislav Jovičić and the FB&H Predrag Kurteš and the B&H Minister of Security Fahrudin Radončić on the realization of the last phase of the prject for implementing a law worth 16,6 million euros, which is financed by the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance.

The EU Delegation announced that the meeting continued on the conclusions and discussions from the last meeting on 29 May at the same level.

Today’s meeting was an opportunity to present important, unresolved issues in the process of EU integration and expressing full support of the EU and USA to governemnts in B&H in the work on these issues. At the meeting they spoke of four various areas, and the first item on the agenda was information regarding the situation after the liberalization fo the visa regime.

The main topic of discussion was to block off places for illegal border crossing, while emphasizing the importance of preventing illegal migration and smuggling prohibited goods.

During the meeting they spoke of the cooperation of B&H and the two agencies of the EU, Europol and Cepol.
