The southeast of Bosnia and Herzegovina was hit by an earthquake measuring three on the Richter scale.
The epicenter of the earthquake was recorded 10 kilometers southwest of Gacko, and light tremors were felt mainly in Herzegovinian cities such as Bileća and Trebinje.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), the earthquake was at a depth of 7.4 kilometers and occurred at 9:50 this morning. Their initial information estimated the earthquake’s magnitude at 3.2 on the Richter scale, but it was later reduced to three.
A resident of Bileća stated on the EMSC website that he felt a “light tremor”, and Trebinje said that it also “shaked”.
An earthquake of this magnitude is not destructive and usually does not cause damage to buildings.
