In response to the recent RTRS report on IPA funds, Andy McGuffie, spokesperson of the EU Delegation to BiH/EUSR said:
“We strongly reject the tendentious interpretation by an RTRS journalist of the EU’s financial assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina – Instrument for Pre-Accession funds – in the channel’s central news of 5 February.
“The distribution of IPA funds is decided in full consultation with the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina at all levels including Entity representatives.
“The aim of IPA funds is clear: to help the country prepare for the EU. This requires effective coordination between different levels of government, including country wide sector strategies and full application of the EU aquis. Nothing more nor less”.
