The Council of Ministers of BiH adopted the Rural Development Strategy for the period from 2018 to 2021 at their session that took place yesterday, which gives a chance to BiH to get significant funds from the EU funds, as confirmed by the Chairman of the Council of ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdic.

The adoption of this document was delayed due to the failure of the RS to express an opinion on the Strategy. The Strategy includes a secure access to EU funds and 30 million EUR of grants that will be used exclusively for rural development.

Zvizdic noted that domestic agricultural producers will get the opportunity to receive millions of funds in the upcoming years.

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Sarovic stated that the adoption of this document is the most important decision of the Council of Ministers in the past year, and it is the most important document for agriculture in the last ten years.

He also announced that he will assist in the process of planning and programming of agriculture in all parts of our country and he thanked everyone who enabled the adoption of this important document.
