As part of the ‘summer seminar of young leaders of the Western Balkans’’ that is held in Budapest, delegate in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament Mirza Ustamujić will participate at the invite of the organizers of the International Center for Democratic Initiative.
In a statement to Fena, Ustamujić said that during the first day of the seminar prominent speakers from the world of diplomacy, economy and politics spoke of the historical review of the Balkan wars and diplomatic experience in the Balkans, as well as their perspective from the EU and the UN.
The second day was reserved for lectures in the EU enlargement policy, the policy towards countries of the EU with a focus on Euro-Mediterranean partnership and the impact of the ‘Arab Spring’.
“During the discussion the strong commitment and friendship of neighboring countries of the EU and NATO could be felt in their support of BIH towards that path, to accelerate its path as much as they can. The experience of members of the Višegrad group (Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic) could be very useful and a good example of regional cooperation that contributes to a better life for citizens of these countries’’, said Ustamujić.
He said that he used this opportunity and that he is speaking with actors that were participants in the process in the last 20 years in the Balkans, with a focus on BiH, , and among others Andre Erdos, the permanent representative of Hungary to the UN from 1990-1994 and Ištvan Varga, the former Hungarian Ambassador to BiH and Serbia.
