Students of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Belgrade announced today that they will only talk and debate with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić during the election campaign.
Regarding Vučić’s invitation to students to a TV duel, students stated on the social network “X” that the president “obviously” has no answer to the popular uprising.
“The president invited us to a public debate. Obviously, he has no answer to the popular uprising, so now he should talk to us, whom he has been calling terrorists for months. We will debate visions and programs for the future during the election campaign, when he calls elections,” stated the students of the Faculty of Philosophy in the blockade.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, as he said, invited representatives of the “students in the blockade” to a debate in front of all the cameras.
“I propose a conversation and debate on all our televisions and portals, with legitimate representatives that they choose. I am ready against… and not against, I apologize, and that is what confirms my mistakes… I am ready to enter into a dialogue, a debate publicly, with three or four who think differently. They have the right to demand that from their president, including elections and everything else,” Vučić said.
He added that he would be ready to listen to them.
“Not to defeat them in some kind of TV debate, but to find solutions together. It is time for each of us to show our faces, to show our faces and programs. I want us to have a fight for visions, a fight for the future, to solve this through dialogue and conversation, without conflict and violence. To rebuild the country again and put it back on track and for people to be satisfied. I will do my best to show that respect,” Vučić said.
