Doctors at the University Clinical Center of Tuzla performed an explantation of organs from donors from Tuzla.
The implantation of organs was performed at the University Clinical Center of Tuzla and the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo. Multidisciplinary teams of UCC Tuzla performed transplantations of two corneas, one kidney and one liver, while the second kidney transplant was performed over a patient at the Clinical Center University of Sarajevo.
With a deceased donor transplant a successful transplant was performed and the development of the project of organ transplantation was continued in Tuzla, but it also saved the lives and improved living quality of five patients.
