EUFOR Commander Major General Maurizio Fronda welcomed Swiss Chief of Defence Lieutenant General Benedikt Roos to Camp Butmir to discuss the security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and EUFOR’s role in supporting a safe and secure environment.
They exchanged views on the evolving security landscape and reaffirmed the importance of cooperation between EUFOR and its troop-contributing nations in support of Operation Althea.
Major General Fronda thanked Switzerland for its longstanding contribution, praising the professionalism and dedication of Swiss personnel.
“Swiss personnel bring professionalism, dedication, and valuable expertise to EUFOR. Their contribution supports our mandate and helps maintain a safe and secure environment for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Major General Fronda.
The visit highlighted the strong partnership between EUFOR and Switzerland and the importance of international cooperation in maintaining peace and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
