On the Banja Luka – Doboj highway, a tactical vehicle of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska (RS) “Vihor” caught fire.

The burning vehicle caused a huge traffic jam on the highway. Firefighters were on the scene yesterday trying hard to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and drivers had to be careful because this vehicle remained on the road for a long time.

Namely, “Vihor” is a light tactical vehicle produced by Technical Overhaul from Bratunac. The vehicle was introduced two years ago and is actively used by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS.

At the time of its introduction, the then Minister of Internal Affairs of RS, Dragan Lukac, stated that “Vihor” would be the pride of the Ministry.

“The Ministry’s idea has been successfully realized by Technical Overhaul, resulting in this vehicle with exceptional characteristics. This is the second tactical vehicle produced by Technical Overhaul in Bratunac, following ‘Despot,’ and it will undoubtedly be the pride of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS, Technical Overhaul, and all those who decide to buy it,” said Lukac at the time.

“Vihor” has a load capacity below eight tons and can be used for military and police special purposes. It is equipped with a Volvo engine with 350 horsepower and has ballistic protection, Klix.ba reports.
