taxiAssembly of Kanton Sarajevo adopted a new amendment to the Law on taxi transportation in KS, regulating the funds from the taxi stand and precisely defined inspection and police control in the control of cab transportation in Kanton Sarajevo.

As the Minister of Transport of Canton Mujo Fišo explained, the money from the use of taxi stands belonging to Kanton Sarajevo will go to a deposit account for public revenues, and the funds will be allocated to a special purpose account of the Main Office for roads in Kanton Sarajevo.

Another thing this aw requires is that a vehicle that does not have valid license plates marked with the letters “TA” can not have a taximeter, or any other verified or unverified device for measuring the cost of driving, radio communication system, nor the label containing the word “Taxi”.

There is also a new Law on communal activities and communal cleanliness, in order to fill the legal vacuum created after the Constitutional Court said that in the previous adoption of these laws the rights of the City of Sarajevo on local governments were violated.

As proposed, the publication of new activities will be conducted and done in the same manner, until a decision regarding the implementation of the Supplemental judgment which includes the Constitution of Kanton, the adoption of the Law on Local Self-Government and Law on communal activities that will be defined in this segment.
