The first snowfall of the season fell in Tehran, the capital of Iran.

The snowfall, which began overnight, covered the city in a white blanket in the morning.

While the snow reached several centimeters, especially in the higher parts of Tehran, snowfall was recorded for the first time this year in the city center.

Residents of the capital, who have been trying to cope with air pollution for a long time, enjoyed the snow in parks and gardens.

The snowfall made it difficult to move around the city and transport.

At higher altitudes, where snowfall is more frequent, authorities warned drivers to be careful.

The Tehran municipality announced that there were no major problems with transportation.

It was reported that the snow depth at Imam Khomeini International Airport reached eight centimeters, but this did not lead to disruptions in air traffic, AA writes.
