The Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton has been constituted today upon receiving the certificates from the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and then by a solemn declaration. The Assembly consists of 35 representatives from seven political parties.

President of the CEC of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Suad Arnautović, congratulated the newly elected representatives and expressed hope that in the coming period, they will justify the trust of the citizens who elected them.

He told the representatives that it is in the interest of the citizens, the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, entities, cantons, to be the first in everything.

He also called on the representatives to resolve the issue of appointing members of national minorities from the list of Others, which is guaranteed to them by the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Sarajevo Canton Assembly consists of seven political parties – Party of Democratic Action (SDA), People and Justice (NiP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), Party for BiH (SBiH), Our Party (NS), Democratic Front/Civic Alliance (DF/GS) and For the new generations.

The SDA will be represented by Sebija Izetbegović, Adi Kalem, Faruk Kapidžić, Mahir Dević, Faruk Selmanović, Smiljana Viteškić and Haris Zahiragić.
