The BiH-Mexican Film “Dobro” screened in Cannes

13235722_1184478764936411_1262751210_nFilm by the young director Marta Hernaiz Pidal was included in the competition program Cinéfondation. The film duration is 15 minutes and it contains a conflict between the Roma woman Mira, who decides to sit in front of the entrance to the house which is not hers, and Selma, owner of the house, who tries to send Mira away and the only answer of Mira’s is – okay (“dobro” in Bosnian).

The film features Julija Pavlović, Mira Bešić and Bojan Mijatović. Besides Pidal, the project crew also includes the moviemaker Sergio Flores Toria, producer Mersiha Halilović, and sound masters Jorge Bolado and Guillermo Gaitán.

Marta Hernaiz Pidal is a 28-year-old student at the Sarajevo Film Academy within the Sarajevo School of Science and Technology. Another 17 works from 15 countries of the world participate in the Cinéfondation program and the winner will be announced on Friday.
