Representatives of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), as part of a visit to BiH companies from the sector of textiles, clothing, leather, and footwear, visited the company Prevent specials d.o.o. in Zepce which employs about 250 workers.
On that occasion, they discussed with the director of the company the current situation in the leather and textile sector, their production program and capacities, plans, as well as the challenges they face daily.
In 2016, the Prevent group bought the German company Car Trim with all their branches in Europe, including Zepce. Car Trim Zepce was then engaged in the production of automotive (upholstery for car seats) for the VW group, and in that period they had over 1.000 employees.
But, with business activities conditioned by the diversification of the portfolio of the entire Group at all locations, including Zepce, the company Prevent specials completely reduced the automotive program.
With good organization, but also by respecting safety measures, they managed to overcome the period of coronavirus last year,so there were no major issues with infections of workers, and in this year, recovery is already noticeable and they even increased the number of employees by about 50 workers.
It is important to mention is that in their production they mostly use domestic raw materials produced by our companies (fabric, zippers, sponge, some plastic parts, labels, etc.). Currently, their biggest problem is the lack of labor.
At the end of the visit, satisfaction was expressed with the cooperation with the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH and the desire to raise it to an even higher level.
