After several days of action, it seems that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska (RS), as they say, has solved the case of the murder of the chief of the criminal police in Prijedor. In the action that was carried out in the past few days, several people were arrested, among them Aleksandar Miljatovic, and the police in the RS are sure that they found the right person.
The RS police, as they say, completely solved the case of the murder of the chief of the criminal police in Prijedor, Radenko Basic. This was stated yesterday by the Minister of Internal Affairs of RS, Dragan Lukac. According to him, the organizer and orderer of the murder is Dalibor Railic from Prijedor, who was arrested a few days ago.
”He was afraid that we would reach him precisely because of our work on organized crime and the smuggling of hard drugs, in which he is fully involved. For that reason, we knew who and in what way could be the organizer, we did not know the executor, it took us time to get to that. We managed to solve that with good work.”
Lukac added that the police will continue the fight against crime and that criminals cannot stop them. However, there is still controversy in the public as to why the Prosecution released Railic after his first arrest. The police calmed down yesterday, they said they do not want to comment on the work of the prosecutor’s office, as well as the information that one of those arrested admitted to the murder.
”I would not like to enter into speculations or comments. We are one side, the side of the investigation. We will resolve some things internally in our meetings. That is information from the investigation that cannot be given,” explained Sinisa Kostresevic, director of the RS Police.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs denied that they received information from the Intelligence Agency that the murder of the police inspector was being prepared, but according to Minister Lukac, State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) had that information, however, it was never sent to the Ministry of the Internal Affairs of RS.
