The decision on determining the margin in the sale of certain products in the Republika Srpska, which prescribes a maximum margin of six percent in wholesale and eight percent in retail, entered into force today, the Ministry of Trade and Tourism said.
The aforementioned decision also prescribes a maximum margin on medicines of eight percent in wholesale and 20 percent in retail.
This decision applies to salt for human consumption, packaging from 0.5 to 1.6 kilograms, all packages of lard, sunflower oil from 0.9 to 5.5 liters, and all packages of vegetable fat.
The decision also applies to packages of pasteurized and sterilized milk up to 1.6 liters, yogurt up to 1.6 liters, all packages of wheat flour, as well as all weights of bread made from this flour.
The margin is also limited to granulated sugar in packages of 0.5 to 5.5 kilograms, all packages of food for infants and babies, which is exclusively a substitute for breast milk, RTRS reports.
All packages of diapers for children and adults are also covered by the decision.
The margin is also limited to technical dishwashing detergent of one liter, as well as laundry detergent in packages of up to three kilograms.
Inspection supervision over the implementation of the provisions of this decision is carried out by the Republic Administration for Inspection Affairs through the Republic Market Inspector and the Market Inspector in local self-government units in accordance with legal authorizations.
The decision on determining the margin in the sale of certain products will be valid until June 1, 2026.
