The Delegation of the European Union/EUSR welcomes the start of the dialogue between the President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the political parties which constitute the majority in the FBiH Parliament, to solve the impasse related to the FBiH government, said the EUD/EUSR spokesperson Andy McGuffie.

”It is urgent that the Federation gets well-functioning and efficient authorities as soon as possible, which includes the Federation government. It is now the responsibility of the President of the Federation and the relevant political parties to urgently complete their consultations and the necessary work in this regard, which would enable the Federation authorities to re-focus on EU-related reforms and other economic and political challenges” , said the statement.

The Delegation of the European Union expects the discussions between the FBiH President and the political parties to be successfully completed within a matter of days.
