Nizama Hecimovic was brutally murdered on Friday, and the killer Nermin Sulejmanovic, her unmarried husband, broadcast the murder live on social media. Not only did the act of brutal murder of a woman, followed by the murder of two more men and the wounding of three people, leave the families traumatized but it completely shocked and defeated the residents of Gradacac, as well as the entire region.
The court rejected the restraining order
Nizama Hecimovic’s family and friends are torn between grief over the loss of a loved one and disgust that such an outcome occurred, considering that the court, four days before the murder, refused to issue a restraining order to Sulejmanovic, incorrectly assessing that there was no danger to the victim.
As Nizama’s aunt Zijada Vukovic Pamukovic previously said, Nizama hid in her house for seven days, and on the eighth day, someone gave away her location.
Had informants
Members of her extended family posted black pictures on social media but also decided to talk about everything that happened.
“It wasn’t just Nermin who killed my Nizama. He didn’t do it just with a bullet. He killed the life in her earlier. He and his people from the institutions killed her. Judge Lejla Numanovic, rejected the proposal for a restraining order. Informants from the Ministry of Internal Affairs Gradacac told him from which number the domestic violence was reported,” wrote Nizama’s sister on social media.
Even on the day of the murder, journalists were informed on the spot, in Gradacac, by locals that Sulejmanovic’s friend from the police had revealed to the attacker that Nizama had reported domestic violence, as well as her whereabouts, but these allegations have not been officially confirmed.
Other victims
It should be recalled that Sulejmanovic found his common-law wife, with whom he has a child, beat her, and then killed her, broadcasting everything live on social media. Then he targeted other victims. In the middle of the street, he killed father and son Dzengiz and Denis Onder and wounded Harisa Onder. As the police announced, they were not random targets, but Sulejmanovic had a certain relationship with their daughter, that is sister, in the past, and they were also involved in a court case.
Sulejmanovic also wounded police officer Husein Kotoric in front of the police station in Gradacac, as well as citizen Nedim Pamukovic.
There could have been potentially more victims in the city, but this was prevented by Hasan Jasarevic (77), a salesman in the shop “Ribo-Lovac”, from whom Sulejmanovic, threatening with a gun, demanded ammunition, but he gave him blanks, Avaz reports.
