The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) has reached an agreement with the Union of Miners in the FBiH, and the only request of the miners that has not been met is the resignation of the director of Elektroprivreda, Admir Andelija.
What they agreed on and what is the last point of the agreement is the dismissal of the director of the Kreka mine, Husein Trumic. The requirements regarding the payment of daily wagesduring the protest and the bridging of service periods with the aim of retirement were accepted.
Line Minister Nermin Dzindic noted at the press conference after the signing of the agreement that this “had to be done in order to save the entire energy sector”, while the president of theMine Workers’ Union, Sinan Husic said that they were not completely satisfied given that not all demands were accepted.
These are some of the points of the agreement reached:
Elektroprivreda BiH and coal mines within this concern will make a plan and program for bridging service periods to all mineworkers who are part of the concern by May 31st next year at the latest.
Elektroprivreda BiH and the Independent Trade Union of Miners of the FBiH are obliged to apply the valid Collective Agreement on the rights and obligations of employers and workers in the field of mining in FBiH and the valid Rulebook on work in all coal mines within the concern.
Elektroprivreda BiH is obliged to ask the FBiH Government for consent to change the price of coal delivered to the public utilityElektroprivreda BiH from the mine by December 3rd this year at the latest.
Elektroprivreda is obliged, after the consent of the FBiH Government, to submit to the mines a proposal for a contract for the supply of coal for 2022 at a price 20 percent higher than the price set by the Contract for the supply of coal for 2021. The increase in the price of coal by 20 percent refers to all types of coal from all mining facilities in coal mines within the concern of Elektroprivreda BiH. Funds obtained by increasing the price of coal will be used exclusively to settle current and arrears fees to mines.
Elektroprivreda and the mines are obliged to provide the necessary funds for settling the obligations in order to fulfill the obligations for retirement of all employees who will acquire the conditions for the retirement by the end of 2022.
Elektroprivreda and the coal mine “Gracanica” are obliged to continue the implementation of activities that have the ultimate goal of opening a replacement capacity for PK “Dimnjace” in the coal mine “Gracanica”
Last night at 10 p.m., considering the agreement was reached, the miners stopped the workers’ disobedience and returned to the mines.
