The first Diaspora Days of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) event started on Saturday night in Sarajevo and will last until August 29th. Various content is planned with the aim of presenting the achievements of BiH citizens in the world and connections with the homeland, and at the closing, a musical spectacle is expected by Alen Islamovic.
From August 20th to 29th, Bosna International Forum organizes the First Days of Diaspora of BiH event, which was officially opened on Saturday night in Hastahana Park in Sarajevo.
The goal is to contribute to the work on establishing relations between the BiH diaspora and the homeland. Also, one of the goals that the organizational team particularly emphasizes is the establishment of the largest and most accurate database of the diaspora of BiH and two-way communication with it.
During the Days of the Diaspora, the results of the deserving BiH citizens will be exhibited. i.e. in Hastahana, there will be exhibition examples of successful BiH products such as the fire engine from Zivinice (SU-AD), Derubis Yachts Vitez, ODA HOMES, etc.
Yesterday, the day after the official opening of the event, on Sunday, August 21st, there was a BH Fest of Knowledge and Success, a panel discussion in which participants from BiH diaspora who achieved enviable results in the world or returned to their homeland and achieved certain results, share their experiences and knowledge with visitors.
Project 5525 will be presented today, through which investments in specific projects are realized by investors from the BiH diaspora. Visitors can expect an interesting panel discussion and B2B meetings.
Tuesday is the day for the SUMMIT of mayors/chiefs and representatives of BiH diaspora. The present mayors and chiefs will participate in a panel discussion, and present the most common problems, but also the advantages of working at local levels, exchange experiences and jointly come to certain conclusions in which direction to act together towards the diaspora and use this potential in the right way, the organizers announced.
An evening of Cultural Artistic Associations (KUDs) will be held, which is the promotion of cultural and artistic heritage through associations that come from cities participating in the EXPO BH cities and cultural and artistic organizations from BiH diaspora.
The sevdah evening is of a concert nature in cooperation with the Sevdah Foundation with the most famous interpreters of svedah of all generations, all with the aim of promoting our culture and tradition.
Day of BiH tourism is a day in which the participating cities will present their tourism potential, where they will strategically work on the promotion and positioning of their tourist attractions.
BHranaFest is a festival of BiH traditional food from all parts of BiH accompanied by the sounds of tambura players. Kids & Family Day is an all-day content intended for children and families, of an entertaining and educational nature.
The mega concert that will take place on the last night of the event is the concert of the legend of the EX-YU scene – Alen Islamovic.
