After the United States (U.S.) embassy in Lebanon called on its citizens to leave that country “by any available means”, amid fears of an all-out war between Israel and Hezbollah and a wider regional conflict, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) also spoke out.

A recommendation was made not to go to Lebanon

“Citizens of BiH are not recommended to travel to the Republic of Lebanon, bearing in mind the current situation and the worsening security situation,” they pointed out.

BiH citizens who are in Lebanon can contact the relevant authorities.

“Citizens of BiH who are in this country can, in case of need, contact the Embassy of BiH in Amman (Jordan). Contact numbers of the Embassy of BiH in Amman: + (962 6) 58 56 921; + (962 6) 58 56 924; e-mail: Amb.Aman@mvp.gov.ba. It is also possible to contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiHvia phone number: +387 33 281 234 and e-mail: emergency@mvp.gov.ba”, they added.

The President of the U.S. Joe Biden said on Friday that he is very concerned about the situation in the Middle East and at the same time called on the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (Netanyahu) to quickly reach a cease-fire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

Iran and its affiliated groups are preparing a response to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. Haniyeh‘sassassination, which took place on July 31st, is attributed to Israel by the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Tehran.

His death occurred a day after an Israeli strike killed Hezbollah military leader Fuad Shokur near Beirut.

The two attacks are reviving fears of the war spreading to the entire Middle East, between Israel on the one hand and Iran and groups supporting it in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen on the other.
