The Project of 6.7 Million Euros for the Construction of Gas Pipeline in Bijeljina

bijeljinaBijeljina celebrated the completion of construction of the main metering and regulating stations and start of the construction of a gas pipeline Bijeljina – Šepak and the project worths 6.7 million euros.

Director of the “Bijeljina gas” Jovo Vujanović said that the start of construction of the high pressure gas pipeline represents even the beginning of the realization of a capital project “Južni Tok” in RS.
“‘Južni Tok’ will be the main route for the economic and business development of the RS and we expect that in fall, after the construction of a gas pipeline Bijeljinatogether with the  president of the RS Milorad Dodik officially to mark the release of gas into the system“,  said Vujanović.

According to him, until now in Bijeljina are built two measuring-control stations and around 200 kilometers of secondary gas pipeline network to allow access to the gas for around 500 users.
The price for the connection to gas is 750 euros and it can be paid in 36 monthly rates.

The Mayor of Bijeljina, Mićo Mićić said at the ceremony that the pipeline should be built within six months, and that the citizens of Bijeljina will be able to use the gas at the end of the year. The plan is to build a 350 kilometers gas pipeline network, and so far is built about 200 kilometers.

The Gas Project in Bijeljina is worth about 30 million euros.For the construction of gas pipeline network are spent 11.3 million euros, and the construction of high-pressure gas pipeline will cost 6.7 million euros.

The company “Novi Sad Gas” invests 80 percent of assets in this project and 20 percent of the funds are from town of Bijeljina.
