The Purchase Price of Gas increased by 21.7 Percent

”The purchase price of gas for Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) increased by 21.7 percent compared to January 2022, ” the leaders of Energoinvest Sarajevo announced.

Namely, the director of Energoinvest, Bisera Hadzialjevic, explained yesterday that they received the price of gas which will be used for the next quarter, starting from April 2022.

“Gazprom, as a gas supplier, delivers a new gas price to Energoinvest every three months. We have received the price of gas which will be used from April 2022 for the next quarter, meaning the next three months. Therefore, the delivery of gas for the next three months is absolutely not in question. The price has increased by 21.7 percent compared to January 2022, “stated Hadzialjevic, adding that this price of gas was somewhat expected:

“The change in the prices of petroleum products is closely related to the price of oil and fuel. Since January, there have been radical increases in oil and fuel prices. We had it all at our gas stations, so this price of gas was expected. “

“In the last three months alone, from January to April, the price of fuel has increased by 44 percent. It should be borne in mind that the price of gas we have now, where there is an increase of 21.7 percent, will be valid for the next three months. It remains to be seen what will happen to the price of fuel at the gas stations. Everything that is happening on the stock exchanges of materials and energy is something that exceeds all predictions and something that cannot be planned,” said Hadzialjevic, Federalna writes.

Further, she pointed out that Energoinvest has regular business communication with Gazprom as before.

“Communication with Gazprom for us as Energoinvest is completely orderly, regular, business, and completely correct. We really don’t have any issues and we don’t have any announcements that there are certain problems, “ stressedHadzialjevic.

She mentioned that the price of gas this January increased by 86.7 percent compared to January last year.

“Everything that is happening and the current increases, in my opinion, are more reflected in oil prices. The price we have now is no different than in previous years. We have the best price together with Serbia in relation to everything that is offered to other gas buyers in the area, and beyond, “ noted Hadzialjevic.

Semir Krehic, the director of the sector in Energoinvest, said that they were relatively satisfied with the price of gas that is used from April 1st.

“This price, which has now been increased by 21.7 percent, is high. But, in 2008, 2011, 2012, and 2013, we had much higher gas prices than this one. Any increase is inconvenient. However, this is not some kind of increase that goes beyond some formal circumstances. We are relatively satisfied with the price we received from April 1st, it could have been worse, “ told Krehic.
