The Red Weather Alarm in Croatia is still on Today

The State Hydrometeorological Institute of the Croatian Civil Protection Operations Center has issued a red heat warning for today as well.

The weather in Croatia is extremely dangerous due to a heat wave, and a red weather alert was in effect for the entire coast yesterday, while emergency services are on high alert.

The highest air temperature of 37 degrees Celsius was measured yesterday in Senj and Split, 36 was on Rab and Knin, and 35 in Pazin, Rijeka, Dubrovnik and Slavonski Brod.

It is especially difficult during the night. Throughout Dalmatia, the temperature does not drop below 30 degrees even at night. In Brela, at midnight, on the night from Monday to Tuesday, as much as 32 degrees were measured, in Dugi Rat and Dubrovnik 31.9, and in Split 30.6 degrees.

As early as 8:00 am yesterday morning, the temperature in the Mljet National Park was 31.8, in Senj 30.5, at the Rijeka airport 30.2, and in Ploče, Silba and in Split on Marjan 30, according to data from the State Hydrometeorological Institute.

Dangerous weather, especially for vulnerable groups of citizens, will continue in the coastal area in the coming days, Croatian media report.
