The Second Phase of South Longitudinal continues

grbavicaAfter the first phase of works on the South longitudinal was completed last August, which included section from Suada and Olga’s Bridge to the Dervisa Numica Street, and before turning to Vrace, which is a distance of about 900 meters, they are now preparing the second phase of the project. It will cost around 7 million EUR.

The loan for the second phase of the project is planned within the budget for the CS for 2015. The second phase includes the section from the crossroads of Hamdije Cemerlica Street with the crossroad in Hrasno near the bakery “As”, including crossroad and following road from the crossroad. Beginning of works can be expected in the first quarter of 2016, according to Emir Hota from the Road Directorate of CS. Resolving of the remaining property relations is taking place at the moment.

“A total of three roundabouts will be constructed within the project. Underpass for pedestrian traffic will be constructed below roundabout in Hrasno near the bakery “As”,” explained Hota.

Municipality of Novo Sarajevo is participating in the project within the capacity of preparations of planning and implementing documentation and leads administrative procedures of resolving requests for approvals, building permits and resolves property relations.
