In the case code-named ‘Staza’, the three defendants, after considering the prosecution’s evidence, in the presence of a lawyer, fully agreed to plead guilty to criminal acts related to organized crime and illicit traffic in narcotic drugs.
Penalties ranging from one to three years in prison, a fine, and confiscation of items used in the commission of the crime were proposed.
In accordance with the plea agreement, the following sentences were proposed for the accused: Milan Rašević, so-called. “Mića”, born in 1996 from Foča, to a prison sentence of one year and confiscation of items used to commit the crime; Miljan Mijović, so-called “Deaf”, born in 1985 from Trebinje, to a prison sentence of three years, as well as confiscation of items used to commit the crime, and Mišo Miljanić, known as “Platina”, born in 1986 from Trebinje, to a prison sentence of one year and 6 months, a fine of 10,000 BAM, as well as confiscation of items used to commit the crime.
All the accused, by mutual confession, committed themselves to testifying in the case code-named “Staza”, which is being conducted against 11 other accused.
The proposed punishments are consistent with the role and responsibility of the accused in the commission of the crime. They are accused of being part of an organized criminal group, participating in the smuggling of large quantities of narcotics in the area of Trebinje, Foča and other cities.
By agreeing to plead guilty, the accused waive their right to a trial, and their right to appeal the verdict handed down by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the basis of the agreement.
Agreed recognitions were forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which accepted the agreements.
This is the second guilty plea in the cases involving evidence from the SKY and Anom applications. In these two cases, a total of four defendants have admitted their guilt so far, announced the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
