The United States strongly condemns and rejects the recent comments of Zoran Krešić, a candidate for the member of the Board of Directors of the TV Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
– His shameful calls for the further division of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the blocking of the functioning of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina are destructive, irresponsible and inconsistent with the construction of a common, multi-ethnic future within the Euro-Atlantic institutions. Not only are his reported calls for the reconstruction of Herceg-Bosnia dangerous and anti-Dayton, they are offensive and regressive, but, in our opinion, they also make him unqualified for any position in public broadcasting.
Political leaders must stop making agreements that undermine the functionality of institutions and ignore the interests of all constituent peoples for the sake of promoting their own, narrow political interests – states the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina in a post on the social network.
A video in which Krešić allegedly calls for a “blockade of the state” and the “return of Herceg-Bosnia” has recently appeared in the public domain.
Krešić was proposed by the HDZ for a position in the Management Board of the Federal Television. Previously, he held a mandate in the Board of Directors of BHRT.
