The Warmest Winter in History of B&H

proljeceThis could be the warmest winter in history, considering the high temperatures, sunny and dry weather. However, winter is still not over.

December last year was marked by dry weather and the beginning of the new year was marked by high temperatures.

“Since 1961 that meteorological measurements exist in Banja Luka , December 2013 was the driest one in history and the warmest was on 4 and 5 January 2014. Temperatures were 16 -19 degrees, which broke all the records until now”, said for Dnevni Avaz Draško Rudan, meteorologist of Hydro-meteorological Institute of RS.

Rudan classified this winter very warm weather according to temperature measurements.

The area of Sarajevo that is influenced by Central European continental climate in the north and the Mediterranean climate in the south, so far had the characteristics of a moderate continental climate.

The coldest month, with an average temperature of -1, 3 degrees this year began with quite warm temperatures.
