The Winner of the Lying down Competition: I couldn’t wait, I applied first

Lidija Markovic from Niksic shared the victory with Filip Knezevic from Mojkovac at the lying down competition in Montenegro after they had been lying down for almost 1200 hours. The winner of the competition, who generously donated aprize of 1000 euros for humanitarian purposes, was a guest on a show and explained how the competition went.

“I couldn’t wait to sign up and rest. Honestly, nothing was difficult for me. Do you know how good it feels when you know that tomorrow you don’t have any obligations, you can just enjoy yourself”, she said about her experience, and then looked back on the statements that she had been preparing for the competition for a long time.

“When I don’t have anything to do, I like to lie around, and I’ve been waiting for the competition for three years and I always find out when it’s over, so I couldn’t wait this year. I followed them and when I found out about it, I was the first to apply and the first to come to the competition,” she said.

To recall, the 23-year-old beautician said during the competition that it was not difficult for her, and at one point her parents offered her 1000 euros to give up the competition, but she persistently refused them, saying that she had not rested yet.

“I’m not here for that, but to defeat myself. This is a psychological game, it’s not just for the prize,” Lidija said then, adding that money is not her main motive: “My family came and begged me to stand up and then they would give me a thousand euros, but no. I want to win, I’m going to the end.”, N1 reports.
