The World Bank (WB) has assessed the Municipality of Tešanj as one of the most successful in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and on this occasion will record a video with the aim of presenting the results of the municipalities, including the example of Tešanj, which have done the most on improving the conditions for attracting new investments.

“The project of improving the business environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, implemented by the IFC – a part of the World Bank Group, is preparing a video in which they wish to present the results and municipalities which have done the most to improve the investment climate and create conditions for attracting new investors.

“The results from the field show that the Municipality Tešanj is one of the most successful in B&H, and it would be our great pleasure if you would respond to our invitation and take part in the mentioned video with your statement. Our experience in working with you is extremely positive, and the results we achieved in the Municipality Tešanj are really noticed by entrepreneurs”, it was said, among other things, in a letter addressed to the Mayor of the Municipality Tešanj, Suad Huskić.

In the last two years, Tešanj has increased the number of newly created jobs by almost 15 per cent, to 1312. In the last four years, the export of this municipality has grown by about 90 percent, to around 350 million BAM.

On the municipal territory, 2.255 businesses are operating, and as much as 23 of the largest companies with the majority of privately owned capital, whose headquarters are in Tešanj, are among the 100 largest in B&H.
