The World’s highest-paid Coach Roberto Mancini has been fired

Renowned Italian coach Roberto Mancini is no longer the head coach of the Saudi Arabian national team, reported prominent journalist Fabrizio Romano two days ago.

Mancini reached an agreement with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation two days ago to terminate their partnership, which lasted just over a year, as the Italian took charge of the team in late August 2023.

This decision follows poor recent results in the World Cup qualifiers, with Saudi Arabia losing 2:0 to Japan earlier this month and drawing 0:0 with Bahrain.

Until two days ago, Mancini was the highest-paid coach in world football, earning approximately 30 million euros annually under the three-year contract he had signed with the Saudis.

In total, Mancini managed Saudi Arabia in 18 matches, recording seven wins, five draws, and six losses.

Earlier in his coaching career, Mancini led Italy, Zenit St. Petersburg, Inter, Galatasaray, Manchester City, Lazio, and Fiorentina.
