The session of the General Assembly of the United Nations should start at 4 pm and last until 7 pm our time, and the Voice of America found out what the procedure itself should look like.

According to the Voice of America at the United Nations, Germany, which is one of the initiators, will present the draft resolution. A formal debate will not be held on the proposal of the document, but the states will be able to explain their position, as a result of which there will be no official list of speakers during the session.

Also, the co-sponsors of the draft resolution will not be allowed to speak. These countries include, among others, the United States of America, France or Italy, but also the Balkan co-sponsors, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Croatia, North Macedonia.

By the end of the text, the draft resolution on Srebrenica had been co-sponsored by 39 countries.

The representative of Serbia, President Aleksandar Vučić, is expected to speak before the vote. Also, the representative of Montenegro should speak, which announced that it would support, but did not co-sponsor, the draft resolution.

Voice of America was previously specified in the world organization that a simple majority of the members of the General Assembly is required for the adoption of the draft resolution, which usually amounts to 97 countries out of 193 in total.
