The participants of the Goražde – Srebrenica Cycling Marathon have arrived in Potočari on Wednesday, where today they will attend the collective funeral for 14 victims of the genocide committed in July 1995 in Srebrenica.

Organized by the Goražde Cycling Club, the 12th cycling marathon Goražde – Srebrenica started this morning from the town on the Drina.

Ten cyclists took part in the 170-kilometer marathon to honor the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica, with the message that it should never be forgotten or repeated.

The cycling marathon from Goražde passed through Novi Goražde, Rogatica, Sokolac, Han Pijesak, Vlasenica, Konjević Polje, Bratunac, and the participants arrived at the Potočari Memorial Center in the afternoon.

The participants of the Bihać – Srebrenica Cycling Marathon called “To Never Repeat and Never Forget” arrived in Potočari on Wednesday. On July 8, more than 300 cyclists set off from Bihać to Srebrenica to honor the victims of the genocide.

Bihać – Srebrenica cycling marathon was held for the 20th time.

The cyclists rode about 500 kilometers, and on the way to Srebrenica they were joined by participants of the marathon and motorcyclists.

Participants of the marathon said that this is a symbolic sign of respect for all the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica.

On July 11 this year, the remains of 14 more victims of the genocide committed in Srebrenica in 1995 will be buried in the cemetery of the Srebrenica Memorial Center – Potočari, Anadolu Agency writes.
