savaDivers from the Czech Republic should remove three air bombs from the Sava River tomorrow, near the bridge between Brčko and Gunja.

Removal of bombs from Sava is scheduled between 5 pm and 9 pm, and their destruction is scheduled for the next day, between 10 am and 1 pm at the territory of Bihać, stated the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Preparations are done and security measures implemented in order for the bombs to be removed and destructed.

Activities on this location are being implemented by the Department for Public Safety of Brčko District and support in removal and destruction of bombs is provided by deminers from relevant structures in BiH and representatives of pertinent institutions from Croatia.

Representatives of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in BiH are also involved in these activities.

Divers from Czech Republic arrived in BiH on July 8, did some scouting and located three “FAB 100” bombs.

Within the cooperation between the Ministry of Security of BiH and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic on the removal of mines and explosive devices from rivers in BiH, plans for this year include the removal of air bombs from the Sava River at the territory of Brčko and Brod and destruction of mines and explosive devices at the territory of Bihać.

It was agreed that the next priority is the removal and destruction of the discovered air bomb that is located in the Sava River under the bridge that connects Brod and Slavonski Brod.

Foreseen timeframe for implementation of this activity is from August 1 until August 15.
