The international economic fair “Mostar-2013” opened today. It will take place until 13 April in the area of the Free Zone Herzegovina. The partner for this year’s fair is the EU.
It is expected that there will be 750 exhibitors from more than 30 countries. In addition to the 27 countries that are members of the EU, there will also be surrounding countries, Turkey and countries in the Middle East, as well as China and Taiwan.
At the official opening ceremony of the 16th Mostar fair, the arrival of a high EU delegation is expected, with Ambassador Peter Sorensen as the head of the Delegation. He will have the honor to announce the fair as open.
There will be four prime ministers from the region, and a number of guests from all areas of public life.
In addition to the fair manifestation, where all economic sectors will be presented, the conference and educational part of the fair will take place under the sign ‘European’ topics.
Two large conferences on the topics of using available IPA funds of the EU and cross-border cooperation are planned, while the second is related to the adjustment of markets and goods of Croatia and BiH and after Croatia’s entry to the EU on 1 July of this year.
The question of the continuation of economic cooperation between Croatia and BiH is of great importance for both countries, and it will be discussed at the Mostar fair how to prevent the negative consequences of Croatian accession in the EU of the economy of both countries.
Otherwise, Croatia is a partner for this year’s fair of tourism, which is an integral part of the fair. Within the tourism fair local and regional wineries will be presented, and awards will be given out to the best wines.
Within this sub-fair event, a book fair and graphic industry fair will be held, and for the first time a fair of information technology with a new concept and new opportunities.
