Total Amount of collected Cow’s Milk Decreased by 2,8 Percent in BiH

In January of 2019 the total amount of collected cow’s milk decreased by 2,8% in relation with the same period of 2018. Production of drinking milk increased by 9,4%, cream by 9,9%, acidified milk by 18,3%, butter and other yellow fat products by 12,2% and cow’s cheese by 3,3% in relation with the same period of 2018.

The total amount of milk fat increased by 1,5%, and the total amount of milk protein increased by 1,2% in relation with the same period of 2018.

When it comes to the number of slaughtered cattle, it is decreased by 15,86%, pigs by 16,61% and poultry by 0,21%, while the number of slaughtered sheep increased by 15,51% in relation with the same period of 2018.

According to BiH’s Agency for Statistics, the net weight of slaughtered cattle decreased by 14,88%, of slaughtered pigs by 17,61% and of slaughtered poultry by 3,82%, while the net weight of slaughtered sheep increased by 22,73% in relation with the same period of 2018.
