Last year, the FBiH received a framework energy strategy that has been awaited for a long period of time, according to Nermin Dzindic, Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry during the presentation of results of work of this ministry in 2017 and plans for 2018.

When it comes to investment activities, he stated that there are several of them that are in the final phase already, including TPP Block 7 Tuzla, Block Banovici, HPP Vranduk, Wind Power Plant Podvelezje and numerous others.

The production in the mining sector was increased in the period from 2015 to 2017, and this mainly refers to coal production, a total of 1.1 million tons. The loss of 107 million BAM in 2015, according to the minister, was reduced to about 17 to 19 million BAM.

There are 13 business subjects in the sector of military industry, and 8 of them are owned by the Government of FBiH, and there are also 36 business subjects that are operating on the approval of the Government of FBiH. Total turnover in the year of 2017 is 277 million BAM, and the number of employees in the military industry was increased by 647 employees.

“We have already signed contracts in the value of 240 million, and they are already in the phase of realization. Business plan for this year is 344 million BAM and the planned number of employees is 4.053. When it comes to state ownership, the profit amounts to almost 35 million BAM. Moreover, it is important to emphasize that the export of military industry goods is conducted on all continents and in more than 40 countries,” said Dzindic, and announced the opening of a new company.

Minister noted that their goal is to continue with the positive business operation in the future period as well.
