Tourists realized almost 100 000 Overnight Stays during October!

toristsIn the month of October 2015, tourists have realized 97,021 visits in B&H, which is by 13.7 % less when compared to September 2015 and by 13 % more than in October 2014.

Tourists recorded 193,866 overnight stays in October, which is by 14.6 % less when compared to September 2015 and by 13.2 % more in comparison to October 2014.

The total number of overnight stays of domestic tourist was 33.33 % and 66.67 % of foreign tourists. Number of overnight stays of domestic tourists was decreased by 6.3 % in comparison with September 2015, and decreased by 17.1 % in comparison with October 2014, according to the data by the Agency for Statistics of B&H.

Number of overnight stays of foreign tourists in October was lower by 18.2 % in comparison to September 2015 and increased by 11.3 % in comparison to October 2014.

According to the type of accommodation object the highest number of overnight stays was recorded in hotels and similar accommodation facilities, with a share of 93.4 %.

In the structure of foreign tourists stays in October 2015, the most of the overnight stays were realized by tourists from Croatia (16.8 %), Serbia (8.7 %), Turkey (8.4 %), Slovenia (7.7 %), Italy (7.1 %), Germany (4.8 %), Korea (3.4 %) and Austria (3.0 %), making a total of 59.9 %. Tourists from other countries realized 40.1 % of overnight stays.

According to the length of stays of foreign tourists in B&H, on the first place are tourists from Ireland with 3.6 overnight stays, then Kuwait with 3.2 overnight stays, Lithuania with 3.1 overnight stays, South Africa with 3.0 overnight stays, Estonia with 2.9 overnight stays, Cyprus with 2.8 overnight stays and Romania with 2.7 overnight stays.
