Tuzla-panonsko-jezeroThe newly established Student Energy Club from Tuzla announces that by the next tourist season they will implement the project “Solar Drvo Pannonica” (Solar tree pannonica), which will be set in the complex of Pannonian lake at the city center.

First Solar tree in the country was set in Prijedor, and project was developed by students of Mechanical, Electrical and Architecture Faculty of Banja Luka. Led by their ideas, the students of the energy club from Tuzla will develop a similar project, but the “solar tree Pannonica” will have the shape of a palm tree, and the panels to collect solar energy will be in the form of leaves.

“We will create the panels with the help of CRP professional staff  Tuzla. The Solar energy collected will be quite sufficient for charging mobile devices and laptops, and probably we will set up on Pannonica , a display on which will spin a video about the importance of renewable energy and the energy efficiency“, said Midhat Bajrić, student of Electrical Engineering in Tuzla, who is included in the project implementation.

“As a student section, we have implemented a project Student campaign on renewable energy. With the financial support of our sponsors we were able to make two models of solar  power plants, which we presented in secondary schools“, says Bajrić.

Solar tree in Prijedor had a cost of 18.000 KM, but  “solar tree Panonica” should be cheaper because members of SEK will make the panels. Also, they the hope on sponsors support to be able to implement the project.
