The total number of tourist arrivals in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in February 2023 was 55,779, which is 19.9 percent more than in February 2022, and less than in January 2023. 8.5 percent.

The total number of overnight stays by tourists in February 2023 in FBiH was 116,323, which is 18.2 percent more than in February 2022, and 14.9 percent less than in January 2023.
The participation of domestic tourists in the total number of overnight stays was 35.1 percent and for foreign tourists 64.9 percent.
In terms of overnight stays of foreign tourists, the highest number of overnight stays were realized by tourists from Croatia (34.4 percent), Serbia (9.2 percent), Turkey (5.9 percent), Germany (5.0 percent), and Slovenia (4.9 percent ) which is a total of 59.4 percent. Tourists from other countries accounted for 40.6 percent of overnight stays.
The Sarajevo Canton registered 44,297 tourists in December 2022, which is 12.7 percent more than in November of the same year.
A total of 568,604 tourists stayed in Sarajevo Canton in the period January – December 2022, which is 67.5 percent more than in 2021.
In the period January – December 2022, there were 1,191,085 overnight stays in Sarajevo Canton, which is 48.7 percent more compared to the same period in 2021, stated the Institute for Informatics and Statistics of the Sarajevo Canton.
In the total number of tourists in December, there were 13,865 domestic tourists and 30,432 foreign tourists, while the total number of domestic tourists last year was 120,252, and 448,352 foreign tourists.
Last year, domestic tourists in Sarajevo Canton had 204,401 overnight stays, which is 24.86 percent of the total number of overnight stays, while foreign tourists had 986,684 overnight stays or 75.14 percent of the total number of overnight stays.
Most foreign tourists in Sarajevo Canton last year were from Croatia 54,488, Turkey 45,090, Serbia 39,300, United Arab Emirates 28,059, Saudi Arabia 24,375, Germany 22,866, Slovenia 21,459, United States 19,486, Montenegro 13,935, and Austria 11,656 and Kuwait 10,356, while the number of tourist arrivals from other countries was below ten thousand, Fena reports.
