iftar TzAround 200 citizens who were fasting attended public iftar in the open that was organized in the city center of Tuzla.

The traditional iftar in the open again this year was held in the organization of the Islamic Community in Tuzla with the support of the City Administration of this city, the Government of Canton Tuzla, business subjects, associations, organizations, and individuals.

“We are very happy to have the opportunity to prepare a big iftar at city center in Tuzla again this year. In this way we are trying to return some old customs and traditions to Tuzla, or revive them in a modern way,” said the Chief Imam in the Majlis of the Islamic Community in Tuzla, Ahmed ef. Huskanovic.

Mayor of Tuzla Jasmin Imamovic believes that iftar in the open has great importance for the city of Tuzla.

“This is an extraordinary event that is held in the Liberty Square, the place of equality. I am experiencing this iftar as we are all dining around one table. It is good that people are nice to each other every day and every month, and especially during the month of Ramadan,” said Imamovic.

Rich cultural and entertainment program was organized after the iftar dinner, and this Ramadan night was also enriched with interpretations of nasheeds by young BH singer Armin Muzaferija. During the Ramadan, the Majlis of the Islamic Community in Tuzla is realizing a series of religious and humanitarian activities.
