U.S. Secretary Of State Warned That Iranian Retaliation Would Be The Worst Mistake Ever Made

United States (U.S.) Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Sunday warned Iran that retaliation against U.S. forces would be the worst mistake that country has ever made.

“They are completely vulnerable. They don’t control their own airspace, they can’t protect their own airspace. They can’t even protect their own leaders,” Rubio said following the devastating U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

The U.S. targeted Iranian nuclear facilities with multiple bunker-buster bombs dropped on the Fordow facility by B-2 stealth bombers, along with dozens of cruise missile strikes launched from submarines at facilities in Natanz and Isfahan.

Rubio said that Iran should wake up and pursue legitimate development of nuclear energy instead of a weapons program.

He said that Washington’s nuclear offer remains on the table and that they are ready to talk with them tomorrow and start working on it.

When asked about the potential Iranian closure of the Strait of Hormuz, Rubio said that would be another terrible mistake.

He said it would be economic suicide for Iran and called on the Chinese government to contact Tehran on the matter.

Rubio claims that Iran possesses everything needed for nuclear weapons, including enrichment capabilities, highly enriched uranium sufficient for nine to ten bombs, weapon design, and delivery systems.

“All they need to do is spend a few days enriching it from 60 to 90 percent,” he said.

The Secretary of State also dismissed the alleged Iranian space program as a cover for developing intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of reaching the U.S.

“Iran isn’t going to the Moon,” said Rubio, explaining that the aim of the program is the development of long-range missiles.

Following the U.S. strikes with bunker-buster bombs and cruise missiles on the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan facilities, Rubio said that Iran no longer has the infrastructure for nuclear weapons.
