“The very idea to tell a story about the time of the Cold War in an artistic way, and in this kind of object that was constructed during the times of great global tensions, is fascinating and, I believe, unique in the whole world,” said UN Special Advisor to Secretary General Adam Dieng, after visiting Collection D-0 ARK Underground, which is located in the Atomic war command near Konjic.

Resident coordinator of UN and resident representative of the UN Development Program (UNDP) in BiH, Sezin Sinanoglu, accompanied UN High Official.

Delegation of UN was welcomed by coordinator of the Project D-0 ARK Underground Sandra Miljevic Hozic, who informed Dieng about  the Collection D-0 and the very idea of the Project. Special Advisor Dieng didn’t hide his excitement after the tour.

“The idea to pacify a war object with art and to involve artists in the protection of this war object with their works deserves every support,” noted Dieng.

He also added that after looking at artistic works of artists from all around the world, everyone becomes richer for one unforgettable experience, and he also stated that he is large supporter of that Project and Collection D-0 ARK Underground.

The Collection of Project Bijenale of contemporary art D-0 ARK includes 142 artistic works after four cycles, and a total of 108 world artists took part in the Project so far. Experts estimated the value of Collection D-0 ARK at 7 million EUR, and it is unique in the world,  as announced from the Direction of Project Bijenale.
