Nicholas_Hill“After the first emergency phase when it was supposed to provide immediate assistance, the second phase started, namely, the performing phase of reconstruction and recovery. I am pleased to announce that the United States intends to provide additional  10 million Dollars in assistance for the recovery” said charge d’affaires at the U.S. Embassy in B&H Nikolas Hill.

The previously mentioned was confirmed after a meeting of representatives of USAID, the representatives of the U.S. Embassy in B&H, with the Minister of Finance and Treasury Nikola Spiric and Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina Kemal Kozarić.

Floods and the damage it caused were the central topic of discussion at this meeting. Hill added that this program will create and develop the USAID.

“This is a program in whose framework we will spend money in order to get help. We will cooperate closely with our partners in the international of community and with people from Bosnia who work in the fields. These 10 million dollars of aid are in a way a supplement to the already 2.5 million Dollars, which were spent in the emergency phase”, explained Hill.
