Vienna: Chairman of BiH Presidency Met With President of Austrian Chamber of Commerce

radmanovi? i austrijaThe Chairman of the BiH Presidency Nebojša Radmanović began his working visit today to Austria with a meeting with the President of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce Kristof Lajtl in Vienna.

During the meeting, the Chairman expressed his satisfaction that he began his trip with a visit to the Chamber of Commernce, and that it is one of the ways to improve economic cooperation. According to him, economy is above politics, and the economic relations with Austria is a bright example of cooperation and a window into the European Union.

He pointed out that Austria is a very important political and economic partner of BiH. He said that Austria is in first place regarding investments in BiH, and that the country is at a high place regarding total trade, right behind Croatia, Serbia and Germany. Chairman Radmanović and Mr. Lajtl stressed the importance of the fact that BiH recorded a surplus in its exchange with Austria.

At the meeting they spoke about the activities of the Autrian Chamber of Commerce in the segment of social cooperation and cooperation with syndicates. They agreed that Austria, with its experiences in the model of social cooperation in direct contacts transfer to representatives of the chamber and syndicates in BIH. They spoke of the importance of the exchange of experiences for long-term cooperation. Mr. Lajtl expressed readiness for the representatives of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce and syndicates to visit BiH, and to present the Austrian model of social partnership.

Chairman Radmanović expressed his gratitude to Mr. Lajtl due to the organization of the Economic Forum, saying how his personal engagement contributes to the improvement of relations between the two countries and invited him to BiH.

Afterwards, Chairman Radmanović addressed the Business Forum of business people from Austria and BiH on the topic “Perspectives of Economic Cooperation of BiH and Austria”, which is being held under the organization of the Austrian Economic Chamber, BiH Foreign Trade Chamber and the RS and FBIH Chamber of Commerce. Over 200 business people from both countries attended the Economic Forum.
