violetaA new modern production facility of the “Violeta” company for the production of liquid detergents and softeners and the production line of children’s diapers has been put into operation in Grude on Tuesday.

According to the words of the owner and CEO of “Violeta”, Petar Corluka, about 40 million marks were invested in the first phase of this project with 40 new jobs , while by the implementation of the second and third phase another 200 jobs will be provided.

– We will continue to invest and we will not stop here. We listen to what the market needs and we will continue to meet the needs of our customers – said Corluka at the opening ceremony attended by many public persons, including members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mladen Ivanic and Dragan Covic, and the FBiH Prime Minister, Fadil Novalic.

As pointed out at the opening ceremony, within the plant, for the first time in Europe, the latest Japanese technology will be used for the production of diapers of an exceptional softness with the line speed of 800 diapers per minute and automatic packaging machine.

In his address, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mladen Ivanic, said he is extremely pleased with what he sees today, adding that he hopes that such event in BiH will become the rule, not the exception.

– We deal with the past and conflicts, rather than to turn to the future. Grude can be proud of this capacity and the fact that today a plant is open that is among the most modern production plants in Europe – said Ivanic.

The newly opened facility of liquid detergents will produce detergent for hand washing of dishes, laundry detergent, fabric softener, shampoo and bath gel.

It is the automated production line with capacity of 60, 000 tons per year with its own system for filling and packaging. The plant has a high energy efficiency, meets the highest environmental standards and does not produce waste materials.

Federal Prime Minister, Fadil Novalic, said that as a mechanical engineer he is impressed with what he saw in the new production facility.

On this occasion, Novalic called upon all BiH citizens to buy Violeta products , because he does it, too. In that case, Mr. Corluka will, instead of 900, employ 1900 people and we will be able to count on thousands more new jobs with other employers – said the Prime Minister.

BiH Presidency member, Dragan Covic reminded, that 20 or 30 years ago in Grude and its surrounding area there was not a single job in production field.

According to his words, in particular one should congratulate Peter Corluka who “fearlessly invest large sum of money in BiH”.

“Violeta” produces toilet paper, kitchen towels, handkerchiefs, napkins, diapers, wet wipes, sanitary towels. “Violeta” has its own plants in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia, and in other countries in the region it exports through its distributors.

In some categories, “Violeta” is an absolute leader in the sale of products in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a share in the market of over 50 percent for the category of kitchen towels, toilet paper, baby wipes and wipes, and the most recognizable domestic brand and best-selling BiH brand beyond the borders of the country.

In BiH “Violeta” employs about 850 people.
